Seeing transportation as a great opportunity and a strong growth trend in the market, brothers José Marcelo de Andrade and Leônidas Moreira de Andrade founded the company HI Transportes in 1982, initially focused on the transportation of food products in the states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais.

In the early 1990s, the company adopted a new management model, giving the business a new, even bolder and more innovative profile.

In this context, HI Transportes expanded its operations, moving into bulk (solid) cargo. In the middle of the decade, it expanded its borders and extended its operations to other states, such as Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, and Goiás.
